Waste tire recycling project under construction in Inner Mongolia

A waste tire recycling project is under construction in Inner Mongolia of China.

The project includes a rubber powder plant with total investments of 730 million yuan, which can, after the first stage of construction, recycle 50,000 tons of waste tires a year and gain sales revenues of about 103 million yuan.

It also includes a waste tire thermal cracking plant with total investments of 600 million yuan. After the Phase-I construction is completed, the plant is expected to produce steel wire, fiber, carbon black and fuel out of 100,000 tons of waste tires and gain sales revenues of 250 million yuan.

The project will operate without any contamination to the environment, said Liu Haicheng, president of Inner Mongolia Yishiyuan Science & Technology Environmental Protection Company Limited.
