Malaysia's natural rubber production dropped 5.2 percent to 48,549 tons in October as compared to the same month in the previous year, official data showed Monday.
According to the Malaysian Statistics Department, on month-on-month basis, the production slumped 21.4 percent from 61,731 tons in September.
Meanwhile, Malaysia's natural rubber exports rose 5.3 percent month-on-month to 50,600 tons.
China remained a key exports market, accounting for 39.3 percent of total exports in October. This was followed by Germany, Iran, the United States and Finland.
Malaysia's natural rubber stocks increased 0.2 percent month-on-month to 189,895 tons in October.
The average prices of Latex Concentrate and Standard Malaysian Rubber 20 (S.M.R. 20) dropped 2.9 percent and 2.7 percent month-on-month, to 425.61 sen and 536.5 sen per kilogram respectively. Enditem
