Spot rubber remains neutral

Spot rubber continued to remain neutral on Tuesday. RSS 4 was quoted unchanged at ₹159.00 a kg by traders.

The grade firmed up to ₹159.00 (₹158.50) and ₹156.00 (₹155.50) per kg respectively, according to the Rubber Board and dealers. The trend was partially mixed and volume low. In futures, the February contracts improved to ₹157.15 (₹154.22), March to ₹164.45 (₹160.81), April to ₹172.69 (₹168.05), May to ₹177.00 (₹172.77) and June to ₹177.00 (₹175.00) per kg on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).

RSS 3 (spot) weakened to ₹187.60 (₹189.13) a kg at Bangkok. The February futures firmed up to ¥322.9 (₹193.65) from ¥320.3 (₹192.11) per kg on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM).

The spot rubber rates (₹/kg) were: RSS-4: 159.00 (159.00), RSS-5: 150.00 (150.00), Ungraded: 130.00 (130.00), ISNR 20: 146.00 (148.00) and Latex (60% drc): 101.50 (101.50).
