Shanghai tire export falls down

There were 5,624,000 units of tire exported from Shanghai Port during January to February in 2018, yearly increasing 6.7%.

Tire export value reached 960 million yuan, yearly decreasing 6%, and export average price was 170.3 yuan/unit, down by 11.9%.

In February, Shanghai exported 2,788,000 units of tire, yearly rising by 36.2%, but average price decreased 21.1% to 175.5 yuan/unit.

Processing Trade takes advantage 

During the first two months of 2018, there were 3,053,000 units of process-trade tires exported from Shanghai port, year-on-year decreasing 2.4%, taking 54.3% of Shanghai tire export at the same period.

Ordinary tire export took 45.6%, and grew 20.1% to 2,567,000 units.

Private companies' export growing obviously 

In the first two months of 2018, foreign companies exported 3,926,000 units of tires from Shanghai port, yearly rising by 5.5%, taking 69.8% of Shanghai export.

Private companies exported 1,149,000 units, yearly increasing 24.9%, and taking 20.4% of total export in Shanghai.

At the same time, state-controlled companies exported 549,000 units of tires, yearly decreasing 12.6%, only taking 9.8% of total export in Shanghai.

Export to U.S. and Mexico reduces

In the first two months of 2018, there were 1,597,000 units of tires exported to EU from Shanghai Port, yearly increasing 22.7%, taking 28.4% of total export in Shanghai Area.

At the same time, there were 801,000 units exported yo U.S. and 512,000 units exported to Mexico, respectively decreasing 16.9% and 14.3%.

Meanwhile, tire export to ASEAN year-on-year increased 17.5% to 398,000 units, and to Russia surging 71.3% to 228,000 units, to Brazil up 190% to 177,000 units.  

Passenger tire takes 40%

In the first two months of 2018, there were 2,493,000 units of passenger tire exported from Shanghai Port, yearly up 3.2%, taking 44.3% of tire export. And average export price increased 6.7% to 202.6 yuan per unit.

At the same time, there were 676,000 units of bus/truck tires exported from Shanghai port,yearly reducing 23.9%. And average tire price decreased 2.6% to 524.7 yuan per unit.

Bicycle tire export increased 21.4% to 1,834,000 units and average price grew 6.7% to 14.7 yuan per unit.

Motorcycle tire export jumped 51.3% to 430,000 units and average price dove 25% to 52.5 yuan per unit.
