Triangle Tire to launch production of two projects ahead of schedule

Triangle Tire is hopefully to see two new projects come into full production by 2019, ahead of schedule.

One is the upgrading project of the high-performance all-steel heavy radial tires, with an annual capacity of 2 million pieces. The other is the upgrading project of the high-performance passenger vehicle tires in Nanhai New District.

The two projects are constructed at the standard of Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacture, with robots, informatization, automation and big data installed in the new factories.

Under the mode of intelligent manufacturing, there will be fewer operators in the new factories, while the technolgoies, quality, standards, efficiency, safety and environmental protection will be improved in every dimension.

Also, the key quality indicators of tires from the two projects will also be improved.

By the end of 2016, Triangle had invested 2.315 billion yuan in the two projects, which had completed the first-phase construction.

Triangle plans to invest another 2 billion yuan by the end of 2017 for construction of the second phase.

By 2018, Triangle is expected to lift its passenger car tire production capacity to 22 million pieces a year, and commercial vehicle tire capacity to 7 million pieces a year, with the two projects launching production.

The total production capacity of Triangle is expected to reach 30 million tires.
