Yokohama Philippine Plant Completes Capacity Expansion

The Philippine plant of Yokohama has completed capacity expansion.

The plant is situated in the Clark Freeport Zone and was put into operation in 1998. It is the first tire plant set up by Yokohama outside Japan.

After the capacity expansion, the plant's annual tire capacity has been increased to 12.5 million, becoming the second largest plant of Yokohama in the world.

The plant mainly produces passenger car tires and light truck tires, which are exported to North America, Europe, and other ASEAN countries.

Yokohama invested 118 million U.S. dollars in 2013 for the capacity expansion project.
