China is still the largest synthetic rubber importer for Korea

In June 2018, there were 155,000 tons of synthetic rubber exported from Korea, yearly rising by 4%, but monthly down by 5.2%. There were 15,000 tons of synthetic rubber imported into Korea, yearly down by 19.1%, but monthly up by 5.2%, compared to the same period of 2017.

Divided from export destination, China is still the largest importer for Korea. There were 270,000 tons of synthetic rubber exporting to China, year-on-year increasing 7.7%, but monthly decreasing 15.5%.

Indonesia is the second largest importer, with 130,000 tons of import, year-on-year climbing 23.7% up.

But export to America, Thailand and Japan showed sliding down, year-on-year decreasing 5.1%, 34.3% and 18.1%, month-on-month down by 16.2%, 33.4% and 13.7%.

At the same time, import from German and America monthly soared 36.8% and 55.4%.

In the past six months, there has been 930,000 tons of synthetic rubber exported from Korea, yearly raising 5.7%.

Export to China and America respectively increased 9% and 0.6%, and to Indonesia, Thailand and Japan yearly decreased 9.8%, 16.6% and 3.9%. 

In the first six months, there has been 92,000 tons of synthetic rubber imported into Korea, yearly decreasing 10%.

Import from America increased 4.3%, but from German and Japan decreased 17.3% and 24.6%.
