Tire companies to benifit from China's new customs clearance rules
Michelin (China) Investment Co., Ltd. declared importing tires of 244,900 yuan on Jul. 3 by “self declaration and self taxpaying”.
These tires enter China from the Alataw Pass Customs, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and reach Wuhua, Hubei province, through Wuhan-Xinjiang-Europe railway.
Starting from Jul. 1, the customs clearance integration reform officially came into force nationwide.
Importers and exporters are capable of completing declaration, tax payment, and other procedures in any customs.
As of Jul. 5, a total of 58 declarations and tax payments were completed by enterprises in the administrative area of Wuhan Customs.
In the past, it takes one day in average for declaration, taxpaying and customs clearance; while under the new model, it takes only about 40 minutes.
