Statistics show that in the first quarter of this year, tire exports in a number of localities showed a growing momentum, and the overall tire exports in 2017 is turning better.
In the first three months, tire exports from Dongying, Shandong province, rose 11.2% year on year to 3.55 billion yuan, while the exports in March were 1.46 billion yuan.
At the same time, the exports from Xiamen, Fujian province, surged 23% to 440 million yuan; and the average export price was 68.7 yuan/tire, up 24.4% over the same period last year.
The EU and Japan were the major export destinations of tires from Xiamen. In Jan.-Mar., Xiamen exported 2.58 million and 766,000 tires to the EU and Japan, respectively, the combination of which accounting for 51.8% of Xiamen’s total tire export volume.
Tire exports from Zaozhuang, Shandong province, also showed a growing momentum in the first quarter.
Zaozhuang exported inflated rubber tires of 270 million yuan in term of processing trade in the first quarter, up 59.3%, and contributed 70.3% of the city’s overall export growth.
