BYD Automotive said it has a large increase of sales for alternative energy vehicles in September, which is becoming its new sales growth point.
Gasgoo learned that sales for BYD alternative energy vehicles reached more than 3, 000, 4, 000, and 5,000 respectively in March, May and June, finally reaching a historical high of 6,013 in September, increasing 2.17 times compared with the same period of last year.
During May to August, BYD’s sales ranked first in the world alternative energy vehicle market. Especially, BYD won titles of “single vehicle champion” and “brand sales champion” in August.
According to BYD, sales for its 4WD SUV “Tang” reached a historical high of 3,044 in its fourth month of being launched into market, with a month-to-month increase of 112.6%, which won the fastest growth among all the alternative energy 2-mode SUVs in the world. The following listing of competitive new models of “Song”, “Yuan”, E5, “Qin”EV will become BYD’s strong sales growth point.
