Zhongtong Bus H1 net profits up 71.56% on year

Leading bus maker Zhongtong Bus (000957.SZ) posted late Monday net profits of 45.09 million yuan for the first half of 2013, up 71.56% from a year ago.
Based in east China's Shandong province, the company's operating revenues for the January-June period came to 1.56 billion yuan, a rise of 21.41% year on year.
The financial results were in line with the automaker's earlier guidance issued in middle July. It had expected its net profits for the first half of 2013 to surge by some 50% to 80% year on year thanks to remarkable increases in bus sales.
