Rubber futures traded on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) ended lower on Tuesday (August 20, 2013) tracking the sharp falls on global markets.
The most actively traded contract for January 2014 delivery ended at 19,470 yuan/metric ton, down 475 yuan or 2.38% from the previous settlement.
HSBC is scheduled to release the preliminary reading for China’s manufacturing purchasing manager index (PMI) data for August on Thursday. Analysts said investors would likely hold wait-and-see attitude before the data release. (Edited by Olivia, olivia@tireworld.com.cn)
