China rubber import rose by 25% in H1‘

Statistics from China Customs showed that China imported 199,000 tons of natural rubber in June, rising by 30.48% compared to the same period of 2016.
And, China has imported 1,447,000 tons of rubber in the first half year of 2017, year-on-year raising 24.39%.
With major rubber producers in Southeast Asia in March and April, rubber export declined in the following months.
Amongst, China imported 116,000 tons of natural rubber from Thailand in June, which was the third time of decline. However, Thailand is still the largest rubber importer for China.
To be noticed, China imported 39,000 tons of rubber from Indonesia, which has become the second largest rubber importer for China, surpassing Malaysia.
