Tires without CCC mark cannot enter Chinese market

Guangzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau discovered a batch of imported tires without CCC mark during its inspection.

With respect to relevant regulation, in spite of that, the tires have met the regulation during the transition, and the inspector granted their entry after reminding the importer.

In the meantime, as the date of compulsory enforcement approaches, relevant enterprises should prepare well in case of unnecessary losses.

Since the issuance of new enforcement rule for compulsory product certification of automobile tires on Jan. 1, 2016, the two years' transition period is to end soon.

Starting from Jan. 1, 2018, the inspection and quarantine authority will enforce the rule for China compulsory certification of some new tire models, and those without the certification shouldn't be imported.

In the first seven months of this year, the administrative area of Guangzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau imported 128 batches of tires valued at 18.66 million U.S. dollars. And the overall quality has been stable.
