Antidumping duties adjusted for Chinese OTR tires

The Commerce Department has made a slight adjustment to antidumping duties levied on certain off-the-road tires imported from China, to 13.92 percent from 12.91 percent.

The recalculation resulted from a remand from the U.S. Court of International Trade in August 2010, ordering the agency to recalculate duties on OTR tires that were levied originally in September 2008, according to a July 22 Federal Register notice.

The new antidumping duties are effective retroactively to March 23, 2015, and apply to 31 Chinese OTR tire manufacturers and exporters that were listed as “separate rate” companies in the investigation.

Titan Tire Corp. and the United Steelworkers union filed with the International Trade Commission for antidumping and countervailing duty relief in 2007.
