Thailand Imports Exempted from Zika Inspection

Head of the Department of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, has disclosed that it will be unnecessary for all imports from Thailand to China providing Zika virus inspection certification.

WHO removed Thailand from the list of Zika virus-infected countries on April 14.

The move signifies that products exported by Thailand are not have to accept Zika virus testing.

China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine also removed Zika virus testing over imports from Thailand.

In short, goods imported from Thailand will be exempted from Zika virus inspection in China, which is China's response to WHO's decision to remove Thailand from the list of Zika virus-infected countries.
