Tire and steel cord exports from Zaozhuang show rapid growth
According to statistics released by the Bureau of Commerce of Zaozhuang, Shandong province, its imports and exports in the first seven months of this year totaled 5.61 billion yuan, up 9.6% year on year.
The exports were 4.92 billion yuan, up 5.9%; and the imports were 690 million yuan, up 45.5%.
The city’s rubber exports grew considerably by 33% to 751 million yuan.
In the first seven months, the 27 processing traders’ imports and exports grew 24.5% to 1.48 billion yuan.
The exports of processing trade in tire, steel fasteners, and textile and clothing sectors rose 20.4% to 1.23 billion yuan.
The city’s tire exports in the first seven months surged 39.2% to 643 million yuan.
Driven by Tengzhou Eastern Steel Cord Co., Ltd., the city’s steel product exports soared 66.7% to 480 million yuan in Jan.-July, accounting for 9.7% of the city’s total export value.
