China Green Tire Safety Week 2017 initiates Jun. 15

Global Tire Tech Forum 2017 & China Green Tire Safety Week 2017 were initiated Jun. 15 in Yantai, Shandong province.

It is the third “China Green Tire Safety Week”, a campaign for public welfare, held by China Rubber Industry Association since 2015.

The campaign aims to spread basic knowledge about tires to customers, advocate the use of green tire, and explain China’s tire labels.

Pan Aihua, vice director of the Department of Raw Material Industry, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, participated in the activity and gave a speech.

Pan explained the directions of the supply-side reform in tire industry, namely dissolving overcapacity, promoting quality upgrade, boosting intelligent manufacturing, and developing new rubber materials.

Pan advised tire industry to research and develop high-performance tires and green advanced materials to meet consumers’ demand.

Deng Yali, chairwoman of CRIA, said China’s tire industry made great achievement in implementing the innovation-driven green development strategy.

Chinese authority has been effectively promoting the tire labeling system and the construction of tire testing fields has made progresses.

Zhu Hongxiang, head of the Technical and Economic Committee of CRIA, interpreted China’s tire labeling system and disclosed the implementation situation of the system.

Zhu said as the establishment of the system, the market share of green tire will expand further, and the tire industry will increase the input in green tire capacity, and industrialize green tires.

The activities for the safety week include “Linglong Tire – China Green Tire Safety Week Roadshow 2017”, “China Tire Label Showroom”, and “Frontier Technology Tire Showroom”.
