Chinese Ministry strongly supports special-rubber sector

The National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology have issued a guidance on boosting green development of petroleum and chemical industries.

The regulation puts forward to emphasis on development of various green petrochemical products, including special rubber and elastomer.

Focusing on automotive, rail transportation, aviation and aerospace, national defense and military industry, electronics and information, new energy, and energy conservation and environmental protection sectors, green petrochemical products to be fully developed include:

High-performance resins, special rubber and elastomer, high-performance fiber and its compound materials, functional membrane materials, electronic chemicals, high-performance water treatment chemicals, surfactant, high-performance lubricant, environmentally-friendly solvent naphtha, special pitch, special wax, higher effective and lower toxic pesticide, water soluble fertilizer, and water-based coatings.

The regulation emphasizes to break through upstream key raw materials supply, accelerate industrialization and adoption of the varieties that are absent in domestic market, guide concentrated development of producers of green products, and establish a batch of industrial clusters with distinctive features.
