Capacity Utilization of Tire Companies in Shandong Climbs

The capacity utilization of all-steel tire producers in Shandong province climbed in the last week of March.

According to statistics released by Rubber Valley Natural Rubber Exchange, in the last week of March, the capacity utilization of all-steel tire manufacturers in Shandong province was 69.67%, a 0.87 percentage points increase from the previous week or a 2.79 percentage points increase from the same period of last year.

So far, the impacts of the anti-dumping and anti-subsidy probe in the U.S. haven’t been fully revealed, the tire exports are still stable but slightly slower.

The capacity utilization of semi-steel tire manufacturers in China was 74.97% in the last week of March, up 0.71 percentage points week on week or 5.45 percentage points year on year.

Analysts say that the utilization of capacity in semi-steel tire companies is at relatively high level and is unlikely to rise much afterwards.
