Review on Shandong Tire Industry in 2017

Shandong's 39 tire manufacturers produced 326 million units of tires in Shandong in 2017, rising by 8.77% compared to the same period of 2016.

Editors in Tireworld.com.cn found that there were three features of Shandong Tire Industry.

More half-steel tires 

In 2017, there were 256 million units of half-steel tires produced by 27 manufacturers in Shandong Province, year on year increasing 11.2%.

At the same time, there were 28 manufacturers producing 70 million units of full-steel tires, yearly up 1.04%.

Compared to full-steel tires' growth, there were more half-steel tires produced in Shandong Province, and grew faster.

Hengfeng Plastics grew fast

Statistics showed that full-steel tires produced by Shandong Hengfeng Plastics Co.,Ltd increased 194.87% compared to 2017, and half-steel tires up 123.05% at the same time.

Besides Hengfeng Plastics, full-steel tire production in Shandong Yinbao Tire Group increased 78.57%; Shandong Wanda Botong Tire rising by 60.22%;Hixih Rubber Industry Group rising by 23.08% and Linglong Tire up 22.99%.

Half-steel tire production in Shandong Luhe Group increased 164%;Pulin Chengshan Tire rising by 69.77%;Qingdao Double Star Group rising by 61.69% and Xingyuan Tire Group up 55.15%, showing a faster growth compared to full-steel tires. 

Export showed two digital growth

In 2017, Shandong exported 54.75 billion yuan of tires, year-on-year increasing 10.4%, realizing two digital growth.

Amongst, Dongying, a important tire production base in Shandong Province, taking 33% of total export, realized 17.925 billion yuan of tire export in 2017, yearly rising by 14.2%, slightly higher than Shandong Province's export.

The top 3 tire exporters in Dongying in 2017 were Shandong Changfeng Tire Co.,Ltd, Shandong Xingyuan International Trade Co.,Ltd, Shandong Yongsheng Rubber Group, and respectively completed 3.862 billion yuan, 2.306 billion yuan and 1.532 billion yuan of export, totally taking 23.1% of Dongying Export.

Statistics showed that Changfeng Tire and Hengfeng Plastics have the same investors.
