China starts anti-dumping investigations on South Korean, Japanese butyronitrile rubber

China on Thursday announced to launch anti-dumping investigations on butyronitrile rubber imported from South Korea and Japan.

The investigations will cover imports between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017, and will look into the damages to the Chinese butyronitrile rubber industry between January 1, 2014 and June 30, 2017.

PetroChina Company Limited Lanzhou branch and Ningbo Shunze Rubber Company, on behalf of the butyronitrile rubber industry of China, applied to the Ministry of Commerce for the investigations, declaing prices of butyronitrile rubber from South Korea and Japan were much lower than normal.

Chinese butyronitrile rubber industry has been damaged by the South Korean and Japanese exports, showing deteriorating index in output, market share, price, profit, ROI and operation rate.

The invetigation started from Thursday, and should complete by November 9, 2018, while in special circumstances it may extend to May 9, 2019.
