China’s engineering machinery industry effects less on tire industry in 2015

In 2014, China’s engineering machinery sales decreased, but effected less on domestic tire industry, said Lv Ying, vice secretary of China Engineering Machinery Industry Association, on“2015 Auto-Tire Cross-Sectoral Development Summit Forum”held by Tireworld.com.cn on Jan.23 2015.

Fortunately, China’s mounted crane and forklift trucks, which related tightly to China’s tire industry, is still in fast growth, and is predicted to continue in the next few years, said Lv.

Engineering machinery sales weak in 2015

Statistics show that China’s engineering machinery sale reaches 24.6% of annual growth between 2002 and 2011. But growth rate decreased from 2011. In 2014, engineering machinery realized 653,300 units of vehicles, year-on-year down by 4.11%.

WithChinaturning GDP target down, domestic engineering machinery industry will face weaken sales in 2015, said Lv Ying.

Loading machine and crane sales continue dropping

In 2014,Chinasold 150,600 units of loading machines in all, year-on-year dropping 17% compared to the same period in 2013.

In the same year, China sold 14,096 units of cranes in 2014, year-on-year diving 27.8%, but mounted crane sales yearly jumped 18.2% to 11,042 units, which hints an industrial trend, said Lv Ying.

Forklift truck outbursts

WithChina’s logistics industry and warehousing industry developing fast in recent years,China’s forklift truck sales surged 9.39% to 359,600 units in 2014, which is thanks to e-commerce industry’s booming.

Amongst, electric forklift trucks are expected to take more industrial market in the future, said Lv, it is predicted to reach international standards, which would be double sales than diesel fork truck sales.

Lv saidChina’s tire makers should prepare to deal with the new trend.
