Too big to strong

Recently, China Chemical Enterprise Management Association (short for “CCEMA”) released a list of “2014 China Top 500 Chemical Enterprises”. About 50 rubber & tire producers stepped into the list.

There are 9 enterprises, including Hixih Rubber Industry Group, Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co.,Ltd, Linglong Tire Group, Giti Tire Co.,Ltd, Triangle Tire Co.,Ltd, Double Coin Tire Co.,Ltd, Double Star Tire Co.,Ltd, Shandong Yongtai Chemical Group Co.,Ltd, Cheng Shin Rubber (Xiamen) Ind.,Ltd, listed in China Top 100 Rubber Product Manufactures, one enterprise less than the list of 2013. Compared to the list of 2013, rank of tire enterprises slumped in 2014. Xingyuan Tire and Aeolus Tire are knocked out of the Top 100 list as following:

Statistics showed that about 1/3 of sales revenue in China’s top 500 chemical enterprises came from non-chemical business. Nearly 80% of tire manufactures released half-year annual reports have announced their sales revenue’s decline.

Analysts said that the ranking only shows their equity size not their earning power, some of them are too big to strong.
