At the end of May, China's auto inventories were at 986,300 units, said the CAAM.

As of the end of May, the passenger vehicle inventory of Chinese automakers stood at 744,000 units, a rise of 9.2 percent from 681,600 units at the beginning of the month. The inventory of commercial vehicles reached 242,300 units, about 2.0 percent more than 237,600 units at the beginning of May.
