Rubber futures traded on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) continue falling on Monday (Sep. 1, 2014), breaking the gauge of 14,500 yuan per metric ton (tonne) to 14,295 yuan per metric ton (tonne) in the trading time.
The most actively traded contract for January 2015 delivery ended at 14,305 yuan/metric yuan, 1.62 percent from the previous settlement.
Under the pressure of China’s unexpected PMI index and Thailand reducing rubber reserve, analysts hold bearish outlook of rubber futures in the whole September.
