Complaint sales ratio list for compact models in 2017 Q2

Data from CPCA shows that the domestic sales volume for compact models reaches 1.597m units in Q2, 2017, with the peak number of 557,000 units in June. Data also shows that compact models receive a complaint number of 4,179 units in Q2, with joint-venture brands taking the champion, second by self-independent brands.

Data shows that also compact models rank second in terms of sales volume, but still lagging behind SUV models by a number of 560,000 units. The Q2 sales volume shows a decline of 14.6% on the basis of Q1 number, compared with 9.7% of SUV models. In the meantime, the overall complaint number also drops to the second place, lowering than SUV models. But the complaint number also keeps relatively high, compared with other models. The quarterly complaint number of compact models in Q2 also declines 4.5% compared with the number in Q1.

A total of 27 models have better performance in terms of complaint sales ration compared with the average level with a distance of 1.78‰. German brands have 8 models ranking on the list, occupying for 29% of the total number but decreasing 9 percentage points with Q1. Japanese brands have 7 models on the list, taking the second place. Self-independent brands have the same performance with American brands, with several models on the list. But no French brands have been listed, arousing worries for the quality performance.
