Car tyre production starts at Linglong’s new plant

Linglong has announced that it has successfully made its first TBR radial tire at its new Hubei Linglong plant. Hubei Linglong Tire Co., Ltd. is Linglong Tire’s fourth manufacturing facility in China and the production of the first tire there marked another milestone in the company’s sustained and rapid growth.

Linglong has started building the plant on July 6, 2018 by laying its foundation stone to mark the second anniversary of the listing of Linglong Tire listing. Within a relatively short period of just 16 months, the first tire was made at this facility with the factory successfully transitioning from the preparatory and construction stage to the commissioning stage.

The new factory sprawls over an area that exceeds 1,000,000 square meters with planned floor area being over 670,000 square meters. The main products made at this facility will include will include TBR tires, PCR tires, and OTR etc. The factory will have an annual production capacity of 12 million PCR tires, 2.4 million TBR tires and 60,000 OTR tires once it attains its full capacity.

Hubei Linglong will play a key role in “5+3” global strategy. This represents another important measure for company to break through regional restrictions, focus on resource integrity and to foster core competitiveness. It will also help Linglong to attain its goals of serving customers at zero distance, improving market share and reducing logistics cost.
