Linglong Tire to start building its factory in Zrenjanin
The construction of the Linglong Tire factory in Zrenjanin, recently announced by the Serbian president, should begin in late March.
This is the biggest Chinese investment in Serbia so far, worth close to a billion dollars. The Local Economic Development Office confirms that everything is ready for the implementation of the investment. Local companies will be hired to carry out the construction.
“The unofficial date of the beginning of the construction of the Linglong Tire factory is March 30th. We are waiting for confirmation by the investor. The city has done everything on its part to prepare for the arrival of this renowned company,” explains the head of the Local Economic Development Office, Jovan Vukanovic.
The Office has confirmed that all the necessary legal activities have been finalized and that the city is ready for the opening of a construction site at the Industrial Zone Southeast.
Linglong Tire intends to produce 13.62 million radial tires in Zrenjanin each year. The company exports its products to over 180 countries and is one of the 20 biggest companies in its field in the world and one of the top five in China.
