Qingdao Qihang Tyre Co. Celebrates 18 Years
China’s Qingdao Qihang Tyre Co., Ltd. is celebrating 18 years in business this year.
Before being established in August 2000, the tiremaker’s factory was a small tire bead rings factory, the company said. Initially, the tire company produced agricultural tires and started to export to the U.S. market in 2001. Since then, the Chinese tiremaker as expanded its product lines to include trailer tires, OTR tires, industrial tires and more.
In 2008, Qingdao Qihang Tyre was barred from exporting its OTR and ag tires to the U.S. under anti-dumping duties but found popularity in Central and South America in countries such as Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
The company built a second factory zone in 2014, which was quadruple the size of its first factory. In 2015, the company began producing its new line of ATV/UTV, lawn and garden and golf tires.
The company produces its tires under the brands Forerunner, Roadguider and Tyre Guider. It has over 300 employees and has exhibited at trade show such as SEMA, the China Tire Expo and more.
