ZC Rubber OE on Wanshan SPMT
ZC Rubber reports it is supplying the Chaoyang CL403 as an original equipment tyre for the Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) produced by Chinese truck manufacturer Wanshan Special Vehicle. The CL403 is being fitted to the vehicle in size 355/65-15.
SPMTs are used for transporting very large objects such as large bridge sections, oil refining equipment, motors and other objects that are too big or heavy for standard trucks. Wanshan approved the Chaoyang tyre for its SPMT after testing verified that the size 355/65-15 CL403, which has a load capacity of 12 tons, was up to the job.

According to ZC Rubber, the Chaoyang CL403 355/65-15 solid tyre has an estimated service life of more than 2,000 hours. This longevity is aided by a wear resistant layer that is almost 60mm deep.
“Developing SPMT in China helps reduce the cost for transporting loads by millions of dollars,” comments ZC Rubber engineer Zheng Bin. “We are proud to offer premium products for Wanshan to meet their demands and support them operate the SPMT. We will further explore on the different performance tyres target with different customers.”
