China's Yinbao adding car tire capacity
Shandong Yinbao Tyre Group subsidiary Delun Rubber has broken ground on an expansion of a plant in Chuzhou, Anhui Province, to add passenger tires to the existing truck tire capacity at that site.
The second-phase project, budgeted at $190 million, will add capacity for 4 million car tires a year, the company said.Phase one of the Delun factory comprises annual capacities of 3 million truck and bus tires and 200,000 specialty tires, according to Yinbao's website.
According to local newspaper Chuzhou Daily, the expansion is expected to generate $47 million annual profit on $155 million sales when completed.
Shandong Yinbao lists GoodTyre, GoldTyre, Yinbao, Ginell and Taidelong as its brands.Shandong Yinbao also is involved in a joint venture in Thailand with local tire makers N.D. Rubber Public Co. Ltd. and P. Siam Tyre Ltd. to set up a truck and bus tire plant there.
