AGCO honours Trelleborg at China supplier day

Trelleborg describes its receipt of the ‘Best Contribution’ award at last month’s 2017 AGCO China Supplier Day held in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, as a “great honour.”

Commenting on the award, Sandy Luo, senior sales and marketing manager at Trelleborg Wheel Systems in China, said: “We firmly believe in the power of partnerships that can add more value to farmers all over the world. Our passion for excellence will continue to drive us forward together with AGCO.”

Nigel Imbush, general manager international sourcing at AGCO, added: “The AGCO facility in Changzhou opened in 2015 and is a major milestone towards realising our long-term strategic vision for the Asia Pacific region. AGCO has brought all of its global strength and experience to bear to create a state-of-the-art plant with the very latest machine tools, assembly processes, quality techniques and systems. With this year’s theme – “Together we aspire!” – AGCO China aims to achieve extraordinary results together with its suppliers.

“AGCO Changzhou has made a tremendous success with locally produced Global Series tractors, which are perceived as premium products with advanced features,” Imbush continued. “With tyres being a critical component, Trelleborg has contributed to this success.”

Stefano Bettinelli, global OEM sales director for Trelleborg agricultural tyres, concluded: “Having received the prestigious AGCO EAME ‘Supplier of the Year’ award in 2012, the AGCO North America 2013 ‘Supplier of the Year’ and AGCO China 2015 ‘Best Quality Performance’, we are delighted to receive another recognition from the AGCO Group.
