Sentury Aviation Tire Project Receives Full Support by Local Government

The Aviation Tire Industry 4.0 project of Qingdao Sentury Tire introduced in advanced technology from Europe and successfully produced 44.5×16.5-inch bias tires for Boe 737 aircraft on the basis of existing high-performance radial tire production.

The company took the lead in implementing the people-for-robot strategy and established an Industry 4.0 smart factory of tire.

Jimo city of Shandong province has stuck to the supply-side reform, adjusted and optimized the project structure since the beginning of this year.

The city encourages companies’ technical reform and M&A, and foster new driving forces.

Local government said it would push forward the construction of key projects such as Sentury’s aviation tire production, in a bid to facilitate continuous swift healthy development of local economy.

Jimo arranged 75 key projects this year, up 92% year on year, with an expected investment of 10.49 billion yuan.

Included are 25 traditional industrial projects, 20 advantageous industrial project, and 14 emerging industrial projects of strategic importance, accounting for 33.3%, 26.7%, and 18.7% of total projects, respectively.
