Construction on 6 bln Yuan Tire Project Starts in N China’s Hebei Province

Hebei Fengyi Tire Co., Ltd. has completed the construction of its semi-steel workshops and finished building the second storey of its banbury area for the first phase of a green, high performance radial tire project with initial investment of 1.8 billion yuan, according to tireworld.com.cn..

It is learned that the project is one of the key programs introduced by Gucheng County, Hebei Province.

Hebei Fengyi Tire Co., Ltd. is located in Hengde Industrial Park in Gucheng County, covering an area of over 1,000 mu (66.7 hectares).

The radial tire project, predicted to involve a total investment of 6 billion yuan, will be implemented in three phases. The first phase of the project will cover a construction area of 317.9 mu (21.3 hectares) with an annual output capacity of 2.1 million units of high performance car radial tires and 900,000 units of light truck radial tires.

Construction on the second phase of the project is scheduled to wrap up as the first phase goes into production. Upon the operation of the second-phase project, the company’s high performance car and light truck radial tire capacity will reach 12 millionto 15 million units per annum. Meanwhile, the company will start the construction of an all steel heavy-duty radial tire production line with an annual capacity of 2 million units.

The third phase will focus on the supporting industries for tire production. By its completion, an industrial group led by tire production and supported with various related industries will take shape.
