Shandong O'Green Group to Put into Operation Its Indonesia Plant This Year
In recent years, a number of Chinese tire companies have started to build production bases overseas in succession.
To date, six Chinese tire manufacturers have set up plants overseas. Of them Shangdong O’Green Group plans to put into operation its plant inIndonesiaby the end of this year and construction on the joint venture of Qingdao Double Star Tire Co., Ltd. inKazakhstanis under way.
Building plants overseas can help tire manufacturers improve their ability to respond to trade frictions and explore new scope for development, said Shi Yifeng, secretary-general of the Tire Branch of China Rubber Industry Association.
China encourages eligible companies to go global and operate internationally. The country also supports tire manufacturers to step up efforts in tapping in the emerging market.
