Doublestar Passenger Car Tire Smart Factory Completes Construction

The construction of the Industry 4.0 smart factory of Doublestar for producing passenger car tires was completed on Dec. 3 in the Xihaian New Area of Qingdao, Shandong province.

Integrating advanced information communication, digital control, and smart equipment, the factory is capable of completing more than 30 technological processes, including rubber mixing, modeling, vulcanizing, customizing, production arrangement, delivery of materials, testing and warehousing, enhancing the product quality and productivity considerably.

Deng Yali, chairwoman of China Rubber Industry Association, said three years ago, Doublestar started to eliminate outdated capacities, create the ecosystem of Internet of Things, build intellectualized Industry 4.0 factory, and innovate and upgrade technological processes.

Senior managers of Doublestar conferred licenses to the marketing centers in Eastern Europe and Western Europe, respectively.

Currently, the products of Doublestar have been authenticated by ECE, BIS and INMETRO, and exported to more than 140 countries and regions overseas.

The passenger car tire Industry 4.0 intelligent factory is a part of Doublestar’s green tire smart manufacturing base.

At the celebration, Doublestar released its “safe tire global strategy” as well as a batch of new passenger car tires and commercial vehicle tires, including the upcoming graphene safe tire and intelligent tire.

Doublestar’s scratch-proof, crashworthiness, anti-puncture tire adopted shield-shape sidewall design, military body armor materials, and nanometer-self-repairing technology, to ensure its outstanding performance.
