Lab of Fengyuan Tire Wins CNAS Accreditation

The lab of Shandong Fengyuan Tire Manufacturing Co., Ltd. received on Oct. 29 the accreditation certificate as an ISO/IEC 17025 lab.

The certificate was issued by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).

CNAS is the only authority that gives lab accreditation in China as well as a member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation and the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Multilateral Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA).

ISO17025 is an international standard for laboratory accreditation service and ISO/IEC17025 is the guideline to which CNAS refers when it accredits labs.

The certificate means that Fengyuan Tire’s lab has reached national standard, and the experimental results, certificates or relevant report issued by the lab will be recognized in countries and regions signing the MRA.

In addition, the accreditation eliminates non-technical trade barrier, reduces dup

licated testing, and lowers enterprises’ non-production costs.

Fengyuan Tire started to prepare for relevant assessment materials in Aug. 2015, the documents had been assessed since Apr. 2016 and the on-site assessment was finished in Sept. 2016.

At the end of Oct., CNAS officially announced that the lab of Fengyuan Tire meets relevant requests and possesses the service ability listed in the attachment of the certificate, and it has won the accreditation.
