Prices of Michelin Passenger Car Products Drop in Shandong Market
The wholesale prices of some mainstream models of Michelin passenger car tires dropped in Shandong in Nov.
The prime dealers of Michelin conducted new promoting policy, lowering the wholesale prices of a variety of 15-inch to 18-inch tires by 11 yuan to 295 yuan/tire.
Currently, the transaction of the brand is stable and the sales volume is slightly smaller than in Oct.
Distributors in Jinan, Dongying, Jining and other cities in Shandong province didn’t react much to the price cutting, most of them replenished some popular models and didn’t plan to stock up.
As the market is sluggish, retailers are not positive about the sales in the mid and later Nov.
In addition, the brand competition in Shandong has been fierce, some retailers will choose brands with greater margins to maximize their profits.
