Monthly Output of Sinopec Maoming Butadiene Rubber Program Hits New High

The butadiene rubber output of Sinopec’s branch in Maoming, Guangdong province, exceeded 8,400 tons in Oct., nearly 1,000 tons more than its best record before that, hitting a new high.

Butadiene rubber is mainly used by the tire industry and it is also capable of producing rubber tubes, rubber belts, rubber shoes and toys as well as cool resistant and quakeproof products, with large market demand.

The butadiene rubber producing equipment of Sinopec Maoming was put into operation in Feb. 2013 with annual output of 100,000 tons/year.

Today, the company is capable of producing the nation’s leading butadiene rubber products with an excellence rate of over 90%. The stability and wearability of its butadiene rubber products are widely praised by the customers.

The stickiness of butadiene rubber requires cleaning the rubber deposit in the equipment from time to time regularly.

The company launched an overhaul in Sept., cleaned the rubber deposit within and between the boilers, and replaced the broken scrapers of the polymerizers.

After the maintenance, the equipments’ production load has been increased from 80% to 98%.

Sinopec Maoming’s carefully operation and precisely adjustment contributed to a new breakthrough in monthly output on the basis of high quality.
