Sailun sponsors mogul skier Pawlik

Sailun mogul skier Pawlik

Sailun Tire Co. Ltd. is sponsoring Brayden Pawlik, a skier on the Ontario Mogul team.

Sailun said it is donating $500 to the athlete, along with $1 per like he gets on his Facebook page, to "help him out" so he can train to "achieve his dreams."

Mr. Brayden put on his first set of skis when he was just a year and a half old, Sailun said, and went on to ski with his family every weekend. He began competing in moguls and aerials when he was seven and has continued ever since. His father was the head coach of the Holiday Valley Freestyle Team and Mr. Brayden accredits most of his accomplishments to his dad, along with the coaches that mentored him along the way.

Mr. Brayden has won 1st place at the Ontario Provincial Championships and 4th place at the Mount St. Anne Canadian Series, according to Sailun.

"Making it to the Olympics would definitely be a dream come true, especially since the Olympics is the most prestigious event that a mogul skier can compete in," Mr. Brayden said,

He added that his long-term goal is to make the Canadian National team.

Brampton-based Sailun Tire is the Canadian distributor for China's Sailun International Tire Corp.
