Beiqi Foton July auto sales up 0.79% on year

Beiqi Foton (600166.SH), one of China's largest commercial vehicle manufacturers, said late Tuesday it sold 41,455 motor vehicles in July of 2013, a slight increase of 0.79% year on year.

The Shanghai-listed company produced 42,738 motor vehicles last month, up 15% year on year, according to the company's filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The automaker sold 388,881 vehicles in the first seven months, up 4.2% from a year ago, while its auto output during the period totaled 375,859 units, a rise of 5.9% year on year.
