SAIC Motor 2012 auto sales surge 12% from 2011

China’s leading automaker SAIC Motor (600104.SH) said on late Friday that it sold 4.49 million motor vehicles in 2012, a surge of 12% from 2011.
In December alone, the automaker sold 350,380 vehicles, up 7.1% from 327,091 units logged in December 2011, according to the company’s filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
SAIC Motor isChina’s largest automaker by sales.
