Shandong Jinyu Offers Introduction to Evergreen Tire

China's Shandong Jinyu Group wants to introduce itself to North American dealers, and has sent along information about itself and its Evergreen tire brand.

Shandong Jinyu Group was founded in 1976, and has its fingers in a wide range of activities, such as real estate, furniture, construction, leasing, logistics, and tires.

The tire unit was established in 1995 as Guang Tong Rubber & Plastic Factory, and it was renamed as Jinyu Tire Co. (Dongying) in 1999. The company received ISO9002:1994 quality certification in 2001, and began constructing its truck/bus radial tire plant the following year.

Technical relationships with both India’s Apollo Tyre and South Korea’s Kumho Tire Co. started in 2003,and with the radial truck tire operations settled, Jinyu Group turned its attention to the OTR segment.

In 2007, Jinyu started its passenger radial tire project, and two years later its consumer tire plant came on-stream. By 2011, that plant was producing 35,000 tires per day.

In recent years, Jinyu Group also received ISO/TS16949 certification, its R&D lab received ISO/IEC 17025 certification, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification, and GB/T 28001-2001 Occupational Safe Health Management System certification.

Its Evergreen brand was officially launched globally in 2008, and is now sold in “many countries,” according to the company.
