SAIC Motor auto sales up 9.23% in August

SAIC Motor (600104.SH), China's largest automobile group in terms of sales volume, said on late Thursday that it sold 358,187 vehicles in August, up 9.23% year on year.
The automaker's total sales in January-August amounted to 2.91 million units, a surge of 11.88% from the same period of last year, according to the company's filing to the Shanghai stock exchange.
