Aeolus adds retreadable patterns to truck tyre range

Aeolus added two new patterns to its growing truck tyre range. The ASR69 and ADR69 truck tyres are now available in popular sizes 295/80R22.5 and 315/80R22.5.

According to the company, ASR69 replaces the HN257 and ADR69 replaces the HN355 for regional haul use. The new additions have been designed with a wider casing structure to make them suitable for retreading, a significant feature for Chinese manufactured truck tyres and one company representatives say will offer end users greater flexibility and life cycle value. All Aeolus truck tyres are also regroovable.

Tyre designers at Aeolus also report that they have factored operating qualities such as driver comfort into their latest products. Since March 2012 all front wheel truck applications now undergo a dynamic balance test before leaving the factory.

Aeolus, established in 1965 and one of the larger tyre producers in China, is exclusively distributed in the UK by Kings Road Tyres. Tim Bader, KRT’s purchasing and marketing manager, commented: “Aeolus invests heavily in R&D to produce tyres that meet the needs of the most advanced end user markets, such as the UK. They recognise the importance to hauliers of tyres that are retreadable and regroovable, which are features that have now been incorporated into the new ASR69 and ADR69 patterns.”

As part of the drive to increase sales and awareness of Aeolus TBR, KRT recently launched a dedicated website at aeolustyres.co.uk. This includes size, application and technical details for the comprehensive ranges of Aeolus TBR products covering Regional Haul, Long Haul, Mixed Service and City Urban products for commercial vehicle, coach, city buses, low loaders, semi-trailers and tippers.

Tim Bader added: “Aeolus is becoming a prominent brand in the commercial tyre sector and the website is part of the dedicated sales and marketing support programme we are putting in place. We are confident it will help build the brand identity further with dealers while demonstrating the breadth and scope of the ranges available from KRT.”

As part of its sales and marketing drive, Aeolus will have its own stand (No.45) at Brityrex International in October, where the new ASR69 and ADR69 patterns will make their UK debut.
