Bridgestone's Tianjin plant makes its first Blizzak tires

 

Japan-based leading tire maker Bridgestone on August 13 said it has upgraded its plant inTianjinmunicipality and has seen the first batch of Blizzak tires roll off the production line of the refined plant.

 

This is also Bridgestone’s first batch of Blizzak tires produced outside of its home market -Japan.

 

Nowadays, the upgradedTianjinplant has a daily output capacity of 25,300 tires, up significantly from the previous 16,500 units per working day.

 

The specific radial tire model produced by theTianjinplant was coded as “Blizzak REVO GZ”, which was tailored for passenger vehicle use in winter.

 

Bridgestone’s first Blizzak tire was produced in late 1980s.

 

The Blizzak products entered into Chinese market in 2006 and have won increasing popularity since then, thanks to its outstanding performance at low temperatures.

 

Founded in January 2000, theTianjinplant is Bridgestone’s first sedan tire plant inChina.
