Beiqi Foton Q1-Q3 auto sales down 6.6% on year

Beiqi Foton (600166.SH) said on Thursday (October 18, 2012) that it sold 465,568 motor vehicles in the first three quarters of this year, down 6.6% year on year.
The automaker produced 448,895 motor vehicles in the January-September period, down 3.9% year on year, according to the company's filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The Shanghai-listed company realized monthly sales of 48,875 units in September, a 6.3% drop year on year, while its output last month fell 8.8% year on year, reaching 48,527 units.
Beiqi Foton is one ofChina's largest commercial vehicle manufacturers.
