BEIJING, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) – China will lower its 2012 import tariffs on key auto parts and equipments for the manufacturing of new-energy vehicles, in a bid to boost imports and domestic consumption, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement on its website on Thursday.
The import tariff cut will take effect as of January 1, 2012.
The ministry didn't give specific figures for the tariff reduction.
As one of the country's key emerging industries, the new energy auto sector is expected to grow vigorously in the coming years. Enditem
