China’s NR import up 8.97% in May

China imported 192,209 tons of natural rubber in May, 2014, up 8.97% compared to the same period of 2013, according to statistics from General Administration of Customs of Beihai.
Statistics shows that China imported 122,558 tons of synthetic rubber in May, yearly decreasing 9.1%, and exported 19,230 tons of synthetic rubber at same time, year-on-year down14.23%.
China is the largest natural rubber importers in the world, mainly importing from Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
